Today I have the honor of starting off the blog tour for Emily Littlefair’s new book, Round and Round the Crochet Hook: Patterns to Inspire and Admire. I also have the privilege of sharing a project from the book with you and I’m so excited about the one I get to share! First, though, let’s talk about this amazing new book.
Round and Round the Crochet Hook: Patterns to Inspire and Admire, is a book of 19 patterns all worked entirely in the round! The patterns cover a large variety of things. They range from patterns for your home to a not so traditional blanket! Some could be completed in an afternoon while others will be something to really dig your hooks into. Each pattern is beautifully presented and comes fully written, charted, and with stunning photography. You will not regret your investment!

I wanted to share a project from this book with you and so I chose the aforementioned not so traditional blanket, Winnie’s Wonderland! I knew, when I laid eyes on this project, that the colorful pile of Scheepjes Stonewashed that had been waiting in a corner untouched had found its purpose.
The instructions for this blanket include a row by row chart telling you which colors to use, so I plugged my colors in and enjoyed the journey. I admit that I can be a bit controlling with colors so watching the center mandala bloom was amazing!
Once the colors were chosen it was just a matter of following the chart and watching it grow! There is a surprise around every corner with this project and I enjoyed it so much.
The texture is rich and structured. Every detail is stunning!
My completed Winnie is a Wonderland indeed and I am completely in love.
I cannot wait for you to see examples of the other projects in this book.
